Outback Steakhouse
Post Race BBQ

Once again, we are pleased to announce, The Outback Steakhouse, Bricktown, will provide a post race BBQ for all race participants. Each runner will receive one ticket in their race packet. Look for the Outback Steakhouse Tent on the Vista Park field following the race.

Training Programs

Training for the 2011 Pine Beach 5K will be provided by J & L Coaching. The coaches will write programs on a weekly basis go over stretching, warming up, nutrition, and mental preparation as the race gets closer.

Registration Information

Runners are encouraged to register online. We can only guarantee shirts to those runners that pre-register online. Runners may also sign up for the race at early packet pickup night and on race day. All registration will close when the maximum field size has been reached, so please register online if you are able to.

Early Packet Pickup : June 25, 2011 (Saturday)
Early Packet Pickup is from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Pine Beach Borough Hall. To avoid race day crowds, you can pick up your race packet/bib on Saturday.

Race Day Registration : June 26, 2011 (Sunday)
Race day registration will open at 7:30am at Vista Park in Pine Beach. Please plan to arrive early to avoid crowds.


Welcome to the Pine Beach 5K website. The 2011 event is the 13th annual race on this fast, scenic, USATF certified 3.1 mile course along the Toms River and through the quiet streets of Pine Beach.

After the race, there will be an awards ceremony on the Vista Park field. Cash awards ($150, $125, $100) will be given to the top three male and female runners, with a $100 bonus award for setting a new course record. A $75 award for the top male and female master runner. Additional age group awards will be given out along with other special awards. Check the awards page for a breakdown of all awards and categories.

Race Timing
LIN-MARK Sports of Mantua NJ will time the 2011 Pine Beach 5K utilizing the B-TAG from ChronoTrack Timing, the world's most advanced timing system with the disposable chip. All participants will receive their assigned B-Tag affixed to the back of their race number where it will remain for the entire event. No need to remove and place the chip on your shoe, this advanced system practically eliminates human error!

Again this year will be the Team Challenge. Awards will be given to the first team in each category: male, female, mixed and masters. Teams will consist of three runners. Each team member must complete and sign a race application.

All roads will be closed to traffic. There will be two water stops, and clocks at miles 1 and 2. Strollers and baby joggers are welcome, but for the safety of the other runners, we can not allow skates, roller blades or bikes.
